Some of the blossoms grow directly out of the trunk, like this one. It was about 2.5m off the ground and rather contrasty, so I ran an umbrellaed flash up a stand to take the edge off some of the shadows. |
I'm sure I looked a right fool, but I was up in one of the trees trying very hard not to fall out. This was made significantly more difficult by the intense aikido class I'd been in just beforehand. Complete exhaustion, as it turns out, is not the best state for climbing trees. |
More blossoms growing out of the trunk, but these were a lot closer to the ground. The shadows were lowered with an umbrallaed flash, camera right. |
|
I passed this bench while heading back to my car. |
